Supporting LGBTQ+ Families and Couples Through Photography

LGBTQ

Every family deserves to feel seen, celebrated, and safe in front of the camera. As an LGBTQ+ photographer based in Wake Forest and serving the greater Raleigh area, I understand how deeply personal and vulnerable it can feel to step into a session especially when your love or family hasn’t always been represented in traditional spaces.

Photography should be an experience rooted in trust, affirmation, and joy. And that’s exactly what I aim to create.

Representation Matters—And So Does Comfort

For many LGBTQ+ families and couples, finding a photographer can be about more than just style or pricing. It’s about safety. It’s about knowing you’ll be welcomed, not questioned. That your love and your story will be captured with the same care and respect as any other client’s.

I want you to know: this is a space where you can show up exactly as you are.

Creating a Session That Feels True to You

Whether you’re planning a wedding, updating family photos, or building your brand, I take the time to understand you. I don’t walk into sessions with assumptions. I ask for pronouns. I listen to your preferences. I prioritize inclusive language and make sure your session feels affirming at every step.

From choosing locations that feel safe and accessible, to creating room for authenticity in how you express your identity or relationship, I’m here to make sure your session reflects your truth.

Celebrating Love in All Its Forms

Over the years, I’ve had the honor of photographing LGBTQ+ families, trans and nonbinary professionals, same-sex weddings, and queer-owned businesses across Raleigh, Durham, and beyond.

Each story is unique and that’s what makes this work so meaningful. Whether it’s two dads laughing with their kids at Joyner Park, a gender-affirming portrait session downtown, or a wedding day filled with chosen family and deep joy, I’m here to hold space for all of it.

Why It’s Personal

As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, this isn’t just professional, it’s personal. I know what it’s like to search for vendors who get it. I built my business with inclusivity at its core because I believe everyone deserves to feel safe and celebrated in their most meaningful moments.

This isn’t a marketing checkbox, it’s who I am, and how I operate.

You Deserve Photos That Feel Like Home

Photography is more than beautiful images…it’s about being seen. My hope is that every client, especially those who’ve ever felt othered, walks away feeling proud of what we captured and at peace with how they were treated throughout the experience.

If you’re an LGBTQ+ couple, family, or professional looking for a photographer in the Raleigh area who sees and supports you, my door is always open. Let’s create something beautiful together.
